WHAT DO WE DO?

Bass n Babes is an independent music collective bridging the gap between the LGBTQ and bass music communities. It is our goal to create queer spaces within the bass scene and uplift queer, femme, and other underrepresented DJs/producers. Our ultimate goal is to build the feminine and queer presence in the bass music scene and provide an outlet for LGBTQ expressions of art.

SHOWS

Bass n Babes curates femme-forward, queer-centric bass music shows that embrace and uplift the vast creativity of the queer community.

FAQs

  • Bass n Babes is a safe space that centers women and queer people. While Bass n Babes was designed to serve the queer bass community, it is also a safe space for women and folks that are exploring their gender and sexual identity. All are welcomed to attend Bass n Babes as allies to our cause. With that being said, absolutely no homophobia, transphobia, sexism, racism, ableism, or any other -ism will be tolerated. We also ask everyone to keep in mind our spaces put femme and queer people first, and respect that when deciding how and when to show up. We are a space that celebrates inclusivity and diversity; if you want to join us, you belong.

  • You can engage with our community on social media and on Soundcloud and Spotify. We have a monthly Guest Mix Series, curated playlists, and soon we are releasing a compilation album. Support us by streaming music by our artists, and discover new tunes while you’re at it!

  • We would love to! Feel free to DM us on Instagram - it helps if you can connect us to any existing LGBTQ or bass music collectives in your city so we can collaborate.

  • If you’re a DJ, producer, visual artist, vendor, small business owner, or someone else looking to get involved, please submit the appropriate form to get in touch! Forms can be found on the Collective page or IG story highlights. You can also DM us on Instagram.

  • Yes! We would love for you to bring your flow toys. Any LED flow toy is welcomed, we just don’t allow fire.

  • Please get permission from Bass n Babes to bring any type of professional camera.

  • We do our best to check the venue for lost items at the end of the night. If anything is turned into us, we will hold onto it until it gets back to the right person. If you lost something, DM us on Instagram and we will try our best to help.

  • With a lack of queer spaces in the EDM/bass music scene and widespread under-representation of women and LGBTQ artists, Bass n Babes is an intentional space that prioritizes the safety, inclusion and wellbeing of femme, queer, and BIPOC people.
